From Joe Valentine:

Everyone is safe and ok.

We were on track until we got stormed in numerous times at 14K, then when our window opened, we moved to 17, 200. Had to try for the summit Sunday on a windy day due to group time constraints. Needed another day acclimating at 17k instead of just one night. We turned back from the summit at 19,000+, just 1000 feet from the summit.

We are packing to move down to recover our cached supplies at 14k and 11k camps and to get to glacier airfield on time.

At SEALKIDS, we are so grateful for the Denali Expedition Team and their hard work as they attempted to summit the highest peak in North America. We will send a final update when everyone is confirmed to be headed home.
